Michelle Malcher is a well-known volunteer leader in security and database communities and the Executive Editor of SELECT. Seth Miller has been working with Oracle technologies since 2005 and specializes in database administration and solutions architecture and integration. Arup Nanda has been an Oracle DBA since 1993, spanning all aspects of the job-from modeling to performance tuning and disaster recovery. He has written 500 published articles, co-authored five books, presented 300 sessions and delivered training seminars in 22 countries. He is an Oracle ACE Director, a member of Oak Table Network, a member of the Exada SIG Board of Directors and an editor for SELECT Journal. Oracle bestowed on him the DBA of the Year award in 2003 and the Architect of the Year in 2012.
Dan Norris is part of the Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) Team in Oracle Software Development. His team primarily works on the Engineered Systems platforms including Exadata, Exalogic, Exalytics, SuperCluster and BDA. Prior to joining Oracle, Dan worked as a consultant on database and cluster issues starting with Oracle 7.
Frank Pound is currently a data modeler/analyst/architect at the central Bank of Canada with over 15 years of experience providing Oracle database/technology support within software support and services, pharmaceuticals, automotive and public sectors. Since 2006, Frank’s interests/focus has turned toward the creation and implementation of management control processes to ease the reporting responsibility for database teams, reduce risk, and increase security and resilience. Recently, he has added Oracle licensing as an area of interest. Bert Scalzo is an Oracle ACE, author, speaker, consultant and senior product manager for database tools at IDERA. He also spent 15 years architecting DBA features for the popular Toad product line. Bert has three decades of Oracle database experience and previously worked for both Oracle Education and Oracle Consulting.
